Tony Robinson joined Centrepoint Alliance in July 2009 as Managing Director/CEO. Tony has experience in a number of industries but has most recently been involved in the Financial Services Industry as Managing Director/CEO of IOOF Ltd for the period from 2007 to 2009 and prior to that as Managing Director/CEO of OAMPS Ltd for the period 2002 to 2007. Tony is also currently a Non-executive Director of Bendigo & Adelaide Bank Ltd.

Grahame Evans is the Group Managing Director of Professional Investment Holdings Ltd (PIH), the parent company of Professional Investment Services (PIS): Australia’s leading independently-owned network of financial adviser and accountants.

Grahame is based in Sydney and is responsible for driving the Group’s value proposition and service offering to the network of advisers and accountants in Australia and the five offshore operations. Each provide quality services, support and education to enhance their associated advisers professionalism and deliver value-added services to their clients.

Previously, Grahame was CEO Investments for Tower Australia and Head of Corporate and Employee Benefits with AMP. At AMP he was responsible for Australia’s largest company superannuation portfolio with more than 33,000 employees and AUD$11 billion under advice. Prior to that, as Managing Director of AMP Consulting, he was responsible for the superannuation consulting division of AMP including actuarial, trustee services, information technology, asset consulting and communications for clients such as Optus, BHP Billiton and Ansett to name a few.

Grahame has been extensively involved with the financial services industry for over 35 years and is a regular guest speaker at industry functions throughout Australia and overseas. He holds an MBA from the prestigious Australian Graduate School of Management, which has been ranked among the top 10 management schools in the Australasian region.

At the age of 32, Grahame became the youngest ever Australian to be appointed to the Board of an Australian life insurance company and was recognised as one of Australia’s leading experts on superannuation with regular appearances across a variety of media.

Bob has been a leader in the finance industry for more than 18 years, initially with Lombard (Nat West Bank) and then in sales management with GE Consumer Finance in the UK. He moved to Australia in 1997 with GE Consumer Finance and launched a new start up retail finance channel.Bob then moved to their commercial finance business in 1999 to lead the newly acquired premium funding business.

After merging the GE and Pacific premium funding businesses in 2004 Bob joined Centrepoint Finance in January 2005. Bob then led the integration of Centrepoint and Alliance Finance to form the new nationwide IPF business.
Since 2009 Bob has been the chairman of Insurance Premium Financiers Australia (IPFA)

Peter Walther

Chief Executive Officer – Professional Investment Services

Peter Walther joined Professional Investment Services (PIS) on 22 August 2011 as Chief Executive Officer with responsibility for the day to day operations of PIS and the administration of the PIS AFSL. Peter will place great focus on further strengthening the PIS value proposition and relationships with the advisers and accountants who comprise the industry leading PIS network.

With his extensive experience in the financial industry, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge to drive and develop PIS and position it for continued success in the future.

Peter’s background includes over 22 years in financial services consisting of both domestic and international leadership roles across a diverse range of businesses in highly competitive markets and complex operating environments.

Prior to joining PIS, Peter was most recently Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Private Equity and M&A Services for Marsh, the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser with operations in over 100 countries. Other relevant positions include Vice President, Leveraged Finance Group with NatWest USA and Fleet Bank, respectively.

Ian is a chartered accountant who began his career with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in London and was subsequently with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia. He has more than 20 years’ experience in CFO and company secretary roles in ASX listed, public and private Australian companies in a variety of industries. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries. Ian was CFO and company secretary with Alliance for more than two years before the merger with Centrepoint and has continued in the same role for the expanded group.
