Centrepoint announces new executive appointments

Centrepoint Alliance Limited (ASX:CAF) (‘Centrepoint’) is pleased to announce the appointment of two executives into the roles of Group Executive Advice and Group Executive Advice Services and Solutions.

At the half-year results in February 2019, Centrepoint announced the retirement of long-standing executive Soula Cargakis, Group Executive Advice effective July 2019. Current Group Executive, Paul Cullen has been confirmed in the role to replace Ms Cargakis.

Paul has been with Centrepoint for three years and is a highly regarded and distinguished advice industry executive with 30 years of experience.

“Paul is a natural fit for the role of Group Executive Advice – he is a highly respected member of the executive team and has strong, enduring relationships with our adviser network and across the industry,” said Centrepoint Alliance Chief Executive Officer, Angus Benbow.

“It is an honour to take over the reins from Soula,” said Paul. “Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege to oversee initiatives that are enhancing our adviser community experiences through innovative software, digitalising processes, and supporting adviser education. I am looking forward to continuing to help our advisers navigate the industry landscape and create new opportunities to find business growth.”

Centrepoint is also pleased to announce the appointment of Kate Anderson, who takes over from Paul in the role of Group Executive Advice Services and Solutions.

“We are excited to have Kate on the team. Kate is an accomplished leader of technical teams, and she has a proven record in developing solutions from a deep understanding of client needs,” said Angus.

Kate joins Centrepoint on 24 June 2019, having recently held the role of Head of Business Support for Bridges and Associates. Kate is recognised across the industry as a distinguished technical advice leader. She is joining Centrepoint to lead the end-to-end advice and business services offering that Centrepoint provides licenced and self-licenced advisers. Kate has also held senior leadership roles at IOOF, SuperIQ and Mariner Financial.

Kate said, “I am looking forward to working with an organisation who believes in transparency and is genuinely passionate about helping advisers deliver quality advice for Australians.”
